The Unicorn Song - Irish Rovers
Laurie loved to talk on the telephone, even when very young.  I can remember listening to her talk for hours and hours to her friends Mandy and Karen - I loved to hear her laughter as she talked - I miss it so much.  It always made me happy to see  her happy!  The house seems so empty now without her laughter - so quiet and solemn.  What a difference a life makes!
When she was nine weeks old and went into congestive heart failure, the church agreed to baptize her ASAP.  She slept during the whole thing.  What a beautiful baby!
Here she is all decked out to go to Dickens on the Strand in Galveston (12-89).  I remember we went with Pastor Larry Smith, Shirley(his wife and fellow co-worker of mine) and Shawn (their son).  Somehow we got separated from them  during the day (there were so many people on the Strand) and were never able to find them again.  We wound up having to leave by ourselves.  It was our first and last experience to Dickens!
These are Laurie's maternal grandparents - I had a good picture of them holding Laurie - it was in my purse (I carried it with me always) when my purse was stolen 10-8-99, so I don't have it any more.  There were other very personal items in my purse (a picture of my mother in her 40's) - why couldn't they have just sent me back my purse!  I still have nightmares about it and that picture can never be replaced!
Easter time
Laurie  decided she'd like to be a model, so here is the picture she took to send in to the agency.
Here is where she finally got to meet Bruce Boxleitner and Brett Cullen (from The Young Riders) at a Cystic Fibrosis Fund Raiser in Houston in 1990.
Having so much frun and posing at the park on Bay Area Boulevard - such a cutey!
Laurie loved unicorns!
